MSC moves to purchase Bolloré Africa Logistics

The Bolloré Group has announced that it received an offer from the MSC Group, Bolloré Africa Logistics which comprises all of the Bolloré Group’s transport and logistics activities in Africa

In response, the Bolloré Group has granted the MSC an exclusivity until 31 March 2022 to enable it to submit a put option. The initial offer is believed to be around US$6.4bn.

Completion of the sale would require the approval of regulatory and competition authorities, as well as of certain counterparties of Bolloré Africa Logistics.

The Bolloré Group has said that it will report on the outcome of these exclusive negotiations in due course.
