Bobcat, a manufacturer of farm and construction equipment and member of the Doosan Group, has released a new range of rotary telehandlers to feed into the growing market worldwide

According to a statement from that company, the rotary telehandler has been rapidly developing with more than 4,500 machines sold in 2023. The new range has therefore been released to play into and help expand this opportunity and is available for European, Middle Eastern and African customers.

Stage V powered models are available for the European market while four Stage IIIA machines are available for sale in the Middle East and Africa (MEA). Powered by a Deutz engine, the machines for the MEA region are delivered for lifting heights ranging from 18-26 m and lifting capacities of 5-6 tonnes.

Greater visibility

Bobcat has emphasised the patented panoramic cab of the new line of rotary telehanders that helps them stand out from the competition in terms of visibility. This boasts a range of features including:

• Fully enclosed and pressurised environment
• 100% air filtration
• ROPS (Roll-Over Protective Structures) certification
• FOPS (Falling-Object Protective Structures) certification
• Air conditioning as standard
• No cladding in the front
• An easily adjustable steering column
• A fully adjustable seat
• The cab is also equipped with a practical door: opening at 90° and 180°, in both the upper and lower sections.

A 7 or 12 in display inside the cab offers a choice of three different views while interior finishes such as a courtesy LED light behind the operator’s seat for better illumination within the cab enhances the operator experience. The company was also keen to point out that accessibility to the cab has been improved thanks to the placement and modification of the access ladder (now equipped with two handles for ease of use and located in a more central position) and the introduction of an additional ladder at the rear, right-hand side.

With the core models available in the new rotary telehandler range, Bobcat offers a choice of solutions for four key lifting height segments, namely 18 m, 21-22 m, 25-26 m and 30-32 m, with a competitive choice in terms of machine capacities at these heights. Bobcat also offers additional models in these segments each with an additional 1 tonne in lift capacity. The new range also allows Bobcat to cover a fifth segment with 27, 35 and 39 m rotary telehandlers with a heavier lift capacity of up to 8 tonne.
